Thank you for the privilege of working together to raise money for the Florida State University Autism Institute!
When you and I talked about your effort to raise some money for the Autism Institute, it seemed like a fun idea to turn it into a bit of a challenge for the attendee’s of our Annual Agent’s Conference. I was expecting we would have an opportunity to build awareness and raise a little cash.
As you know, this effort really caught the hearts of some of our attendees and a spirit of giving – while having some fun – really took off. Of the many generous gestures, a few stick in my memory – When Donna Allen, our Operations Manager was on the winning team of the pit crew challenge and she auctioned off her race car ride for the benefit of the Autism Institute. When several of our attendees started bidding on my completely worthless nametag, an when, at the end of the conference, Peggy Chisum thought her new pen/stylus was worth as much as my worthless name tag – and then it was sold twice – I bought it and so did she! Just these three items raised $1,200!
In total our group has given $6,645.00 for the folks at the Autism Institute! Based on what you have said about them, they will invest this money well to impact young autistic kids – how great this is!
