Floor & Decor had the distinct pleasure of hosting Don Yaeger as the Keynote Speaker for the 2013 store managers meeting in Atlanta, GA. Our meeting theme was “Right Here, Right Now.” Don’s speech was very timely and hit home with all our attendees.
Having first heard Don speak at another event, we knew we wanted to include him in our own schedule for our employees. Each step in the process was seamless and easy, and the staff was delightful to work with. Don takes the time to learn the intricacies of each company to which he presents and engages the senior leadership team in advance to be sure he includes personalized messages to his audience.
As a relatively young company, this is the first time we’ve utilized a guest speaker at an annual conference. What a kick off! Any speakers who may follow will have large shoes to fill. At the end of Don’s speech our participants clambered to the book table where they each received Don’s 16 Characteristics of True Champions book. Don graciously agreed to autograph the books and everyone was thrilled to get one. The book will be treasured for years to come and it helped to further promote the theme of being a strong leader.
If you hire only one speaker this year, be sure it’s Don Yaeger. You won’t be disappointed. And remember to include a book for your attendees! They’ll enjoy it almost as much as they will enjoy Don.
